Посеред аванзалу є мармурові сходи, що ведуть до верхнього ярусу. Завіса "Парнас", що прикрашає сцену, була зроблена Г. Семірадським, провідним майстром-живописцем.

I am a theatre lover, too. As for me, I prefer drama to all other theatres, but I also like opera and musical comedy. I’ll never forget my first visit to the Opera and Ballet Theatre. My friend and I wanted to see the famous ballet “Swan Lake” by Tchaikovskyi. We bought the tickets in advance and came to the theatre half an hour before the show. At 7 sharp the performance began. From the very first minute I was deeply impressed by everything I saw on the stage. The costumes were fine. The dancing and music were thrilling. People live a busy life nowadays. They don’t have much free time for leisure activities, for visiting cinemas or theatres. However, it is always a good idea to see a new film or play. Sometimes opera singers or ballet dancers from larger cities visit our theatre. I try not to miss such events. Theatre for me is both pleasant and entertaining. Being one of the oldest forms of art, it features comedies, dramas and tragedies. Most of all I like comedies. Recently, I’ve seen the play “Charley’s Aunt”, written by a talented English playwright Brandon Thomas. This comedy was successfully staged at many world theatres.

There are not many theatres in my town, but they are all very popular with the public. I am a theatre lover, too.
